Campsite, convenient parking, and caterers onsite throughout, plus glowing routes for those thrilling night runs, this is an adventure you won’t want to miss!
HOW IT WORKS.
SOLO RUNNERS.
As a Solo runner, you can choose your own challenge. Run non-stop through the night, stop for regular breaks, or even go to sleep for a few hours – it’s up to you. But the clock never stops!
However you choose to tackle it, you’ll enjoy some unique privileges as a Solo runner without crew including:
Tent area nearer the start finish line.
Hot water available throughout.
Keep all your your essentials within reach at the Solo Bag Drop area.
PAIRS.
Find a friend and pair up for an epic, brutal, and relentless 24 hours out on the trail.
Taking on Harewood24 as a pair is a challenge not to be underestimated. Whilst you may not run as many miles as a Solo runner, the stop-start nature of the challenge means it can be psychologically taxing. But you’ll enjoy the benefit of sharing the load with a teammate.
Only one runner from each Pair can be on the course at the same time. You do not have to run single laps through the weekend – it’s very common for one half of a Pair to run a double or even triple lap through the night, to give their teammate a chance to rest (they usually then return the favour!)
If you both want to take a break, that’s also fine – but remember, the clock never stops!
Awards are granted to the top three Male, Female, and Mixed Pairs.
TEAMS.
Just as with Solo and Pairs, you are only allowed one runner on the course at a time. And, as a Team, you are free to take a break and resume later in the race.
Teams are grouped into two main categories:
Small Teams of 3-5
Large Teams of 6-8
There are special awards for the top three Male, Female, and Mixed Teams in each category,
What3words will be issued for the entrance nearer the time.
